MNZ Immigration Conference

Multicultural Aotearoa based in Te Tiriti around 2040

MNZ has always advocated a population-based immigration strategy in Aotearoa New Zealand and advocated for more Tangata Whenua involvement. This conference will be a community-led discussion; an opportunity to share your knowledge and help guide MNZ immigration policy into the future.
Speakers at the Conference will include Minister for Immigration and newly appointed Auckland Minister Hon. Michael Wood, Human Rights Commissioner Paul Hunt, Race Commissioner Meng Foon and Productivity Commission Chair Dr. Ganesh Nana. Leading academics Professor James Liu, Dr. David MacDonald and Dr. Negar Partow will also join us and represent Tangata as we are honored to have Tā leaders Mark Solomon (Ngāi Tahu), Tina Ngata (Ngati Porou) and Bill Te Huia Hamilton. (Ngāti
Kahungunu, Ngā Rauru, Ngāti Raukawa) to guide our kōrero.

The theme of the conference is Te Tiriti-based multicultural Aotearoa towards 2040. With a focus on population strategy, Tiriti-based multiculturalism and the cultural infrastructure critical to successful settlement, we will provide an opportunity for all to listen and earlier to contribute the issue to authorities and political parties.
