IPU High School Students' Visit
We were thrilled to welcome a group of high school students through IPU to MMC for an engaging visit session filled with learning, exploration, and connection. Dr. Rasyid from IPU delivered a very informative and engaging talk on the effects of multiculturalism in the city, followed by an informative talk by MMC staff about who we are and what we do/offer. We were delighted to invite our recent intern, Momo (originally from Japan) to talk to the students about her experiences living and settling in New Zealand.
The students enjoyed taking part in some of our backyard games, including Jenga, Connect 4, Cornhole and Quoits. The day was concluded with making an Indonesian “Dadar Gulung” together, and then tasting tea from across the globe – Koko Samoa, Sri Lankan Ceylon Tea, Indian Chai Masala and Taiwanese Bubble Tea.
Massive thanks to the team at IPU, students and staff for organizing and attending the visit, and the volunteers and facilitators of the various activities.
