A little trip around the world—no passport required!

On 21^st February 2026, our multicultural communities came together to bring the annual Festival of Cultures. What an amazing day it was! Packed with vibrant colours, incredible performances, and delicious bites from every corner of the globe, the World Fair at the Festival of Cultures brought the best of cultures together right here in Palmy. So many smiles, so much flavour, and memories made at every turn. At the MMC stall, our volunteers facilitated some family friendly sessions - friendship bracelet making, flax weaving and henna painting. We also had Ceylon tea giveaway – always a popular choice on such a hot day! Thank you to Palmerston North City Council and Welcoming Communities for the wonderful collaboration. Our sincere thanks for the volunteers, interns and staff who assisted with the MMC stall on the day. Massive thanks to all the hard work by the communities involved.
